Recently, I was approached by eyeforpharma to support their upcoming 2016 Barcelona conference. Specifically, to support the Patient Experience: Empowering the Patient through Communication track. I am thrilled to support this particular effort as it is near and dear to my heart. I also believe that it is  a step in the right direction.

However, as I reflected upon the topic, I started to wonder what is the role of leaders in the patient experience, especially those who are not directly involved in the patient-doctor interaction?  As a result, I thought this would be a intriguing topic to discuss with the #hcsmca community.

Therefore, on Wednesday, October 14 at 1pm ET (time zone converter) let’s explore the roles of industry and the government in the patient and caregiver experience; namely:

  • T1: What role should the government play in patient communication?
  • T2: What role should pharmaceutical leaders play in patient communication?
  • T3: If the #hcsmca community was invited to the table with both political and industry leaders, what advice would you give to facilitate a better patient or caregiver experience?
  • T4: What other key stakeholders could improve the patient experience and why?
For additional context for this chat and if you have the time, eyeforpharma is hosting a free webinar on Wednesday Oct 14 at 9am ET on: Patient empowerment: digital communication for improved outcomes
