Well this stands to certainly keep more patients taking “name” brand Lipitor and on the other hand throws a monkey wrench into the generic drug companies as far as their sales increasing. This will be interesting to see how this falls out at the retail drugs stores. This is a change that we haven’t seen before and maybe other drug companies could follow suit. Pharmacies make more money from generic drugs than they do name brand so will that pricing be changed too one might ask. BD
At least for consumers is may be one less formulary change to deal with.
