In less than two seconds, the scanner creates a high-resolution infrared photograph of the vein pattern, reportedly 100 times more accurate than fingerprints.
Implementation:
Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas piloted the palm-vein scanners last fall…About 40,000 medical records now have palm-vein scans, with 17,000 being added each month.
