After my last round of health start-ups, I received lots of emails, comments, and shout-outs on LinkedIn, FB and Twitter about more cool health start-ups.  I culled the lot and this is what I came up with as a second round of cool health start-ups.

Accessible Home Living is a design/remodel company that specializes in customizing homes so that seniors and those with disabilities can live independently and age-in-place.  They also construct  handicap-accessible modular in-law suites that can be added on to a caregiver’s existing home.


Soluto offers the user the ability to remotely help others with their PCs, with exactly the same tools as it offers to IT managers.  Be the IT guy!  Soluto was recently chosen by PC World as one of the “10 great technologies to install on Mom’s PC”

ClearMD is a web+mobile application that allows healthcare providers to prescribe their expertise to patients through short, single-topic videos they can make themselves.  From an avid ClearMD client, “I prescribe videos because I know that educated and active patients are more engaged in their own care, get better outcomes and cost less to treat”.

ReferralMD allows you to exchange, manage and track 2-way referrals, authorizations and progress updates online.  This review from MedCityNews:

Sick Weather tracks public posts on twitter and facebook to get forecasts of illnesses and graphs them geographically.

LifeVest Health allows users to invest money in themselves (or raise it from family and friends).  Then they set health goals and if they achieve the goals, their personal health “stock” rises and they get a return on their investment.
