Each company gets a $50,000 seed investment and four months of mentorship from Healthbox and its partners, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, HCA, The Nashville Care Council and the Entrepreneur Center.
Among the most exciting companies is Gema Touch, which makes a mobile engagement platform that uses a touch-sensitive RFID tag to enable mobile communication capabilities with any printed surface. PRSM Healthcare also sounds interesting, with a solution that helps GI practices manage patient follow-ups, cancellations and no-shows.
Rounding out the class are these companies:
Atlas Health provides APIs for health IT organizations to develop new, HIPAA- and HITECH-compliant solutions and exchange data with partners.
Axial Health leverages predictive intelligence with a series of decision support platforms for chronic pain therapy, reducing variability in interventional procedures, opiate prescribing and spine surgeries.
Daymark Health is a digital marketing and advertising platform for hospitals and health systems.
eClinic Healthcare is a “virtual communication line” between providers and patients, enabling use of two-way video, voice and secure messaging within a web-based and HIPAA-compliance environment.
Remedify is cloud-based software that takes the guesswork out of sterile processing at hospitals and surgery centers.
They will all demo at Innovation Day on December 10.
