Diabetes and Oncology at Doctors 2.0 & You

The use of Social Media and applications in many medical conditions (17) will be examined at Doctors 2.0 & You, but two stand out for their presence on the educational program: diabetes and oncology.

In Diabetes:

–eReputation: The results of ISMOR (Insulins in Social Media Original Research), the first online social media eReputation study about insulines, realized with partner LexisNexis Business Information Solutions will be presented to participants! We already know that Diabetes is extremely present in online social media in England and France, thanks to this study and that patients are particularly interested in information about nutrition.

–ePatients: ePatients with Diabetes from Austria, Australia, France, UK, and US will be highly engaged during Doctors 2.0 & You. They will be speaking, presenting posters, participating in the start-up contest. They include Fredrik Debong, Renza Scibilia, Kyle Jacques Rose, Andrea Limbourg, Paul Buchanan, Kerry Sparling…

–Twitter: The new hashtag #FRDOC or France Diabetes Online Community will also be a star as this year’s conference cause. #FRDOC joins other hashtags from Diabetes Online Communities around the world and Doctors 2.0 & You will be contributing to their promotion.

–Apps: We’ll be talking about results from mobile apps used to record results and stimulate adherence and the regulatory aspects.

In Cancer:

–ePatients and supporters who blog, tweet, and do advocacy work in France, Greece, Ireland and the US will be speaking and presenting posters. They include Catherine Cerisey, Giovanna Marsico for CancerContribution, Kathi Apostolidis, Marie Ennis O’Connor, Liza Bernstein

–Twitter: The hashtag #BCSM and its equivalents in other languages will be discussed.

–Apps: PainSquad pain diary for teens from Canada presented by the Sick Kids Foundation and iChemo Diary from MSD will be among the highlights.
