Thanks for your comments. I agree with you that many healthcare solutions are launched with minimal customer understanding. I think these are mostly egregious when a company that is successful outside of healthcare tries to squeeze their offering into the healthcare paradigm without properly considering context.
However, I also believe that people can find success by using the LEAN approach of finding a minimum viable product and expanding from there. So in that context, I think it's actually good to "find a fit" and then run with it. Of course, the process of finding a fit has to be a bit more rigorous then just throwing an idea up and seeing if it sticks.
